Samba

Originally from Brazil, the Samba made its mark in the late 1920’s and hasn’t stopped since. It’s the most famous dance in Brazil. Performed in carnivals, street dances, as well as “The Ballroom” at Villa Incanta, it’s considered an energizing and exciting dance form as you flirtatiously move your hips and knees.

Whether you’re objective is to hone your dance skills or tone your bod’…the Samba can be the solution. Not only does it involve constant calorie burning movements, however, via working out the variety of muscles involved it creates a leaner and stronger physique.

Additionally, the Samba is considered one of the hottest dance forms as it allows you to move your body in exotic movements to tantalizing beats. One of the basic steps is comprised of counting 1,2,3. On count 1, step back with your right foot (placing your weight onto it). On count 2, slightly step forward with your left foot and then on 3, slightly step forward with your right. Then repeat on the other side. On count 1, step back with your left foot (placing your weight onto it). On count 2, slightly step forward with your right foot and then on 3, slightly step forward with your left.

When it comes to Samba, there are several different dance movements to learn, however, they’re all incredibly fun and with a little expert instructions and practice…one can master it in no time.
